Weekend Wrap Up- Memorial Day Weekend

Before I start into our weekend events I have to say that this weekend really kicked off summer for us. We were in the pool yesterday with family and that's all we kept saying lol. And boy am I burnt!

Thursday evening we grilled out and miss Embry enjoyed herself some of my chocolate lasagna. She liked it :). 

Friday afternoon I met my uncle Will at Home Depot and we bought supplies to make our closet. 

Friday evening was my brother's graduation. 

(That's also one of my best friends with the brunette hair passing out diplomas.) 

He was so cute (yes Cole you're still cute) and I can't believe the high school days are over for my parents.

Oh my, these two girls teach me too much lol :). 

Saturday was spent working on the closets. I have before & after pictures but we still need closet doors so I will do a post later on when we have those replaced. You can follow along with us by adding me on Snapchat: blakemartina9

Saturday evening we ordered pizza and played with these two cuties....

.... :). 

Sunday morning we headed to church and back to Mike & Jill's for their first party/cookout. We had a blast!

I was horrible about taking pictures throughout the day and pictures with cute kids are better anyway, right??

Monday morning Noah took Drew, Sam, & Joe to play tennis do some drills. They start summer tennis today so Noah gave them some tips. They were out there for about 2 hours and I joined in on the fun for a bit.

We spent the afternoon by the pool and caught some rays. 

My sister-in-law texted and said LJ was up from his nap and they were going to put him in his pool so we headed over. 

He absolutely loved it!

He was soaked but happy as ever. 

Then they got the water hose out and he kept spraying himself. He hasn't figured out to spray other people....yet. 

Dinner at Bo Mac's with family was the perfect way to end our weekend. 

Summer has officially been kicked off!

Let's Talk: Summer Plans

A few weeks ago I shared our Summer Bucket List so today will be much of the same!

I'm joining Andrea & Erika for their linkup and today is all about Summer!

We will spend lots of time around the pool....

...with family and friends (that's what we'll be doing today!)

Watch some baseball....

Grill out and spend time with the best....

Drink loads & loads of coffee....oh and I'll be reading a ton.

See??

We Noah will play golf & I will watch from the cart reading :). 

 Later this summer we will celebrate this sweet boys birthday. 

Hopefully we will be invited again this year hehe :). 

Noah is coaching tennis again so I will try to catch a few matches!

And lastly I'll leave you will this......I start half marathon training in two weeks. Ugh I know.

Two summers ago I trained with family members and got all the way to 8 miles. 8 miles and I quit. So this time around I am signing up early and I am letting my readers know so I will be held accountable. 

My summer will consist of running. Lots and lots of running but it will be worth it!

Friday Favorites

Happy Friday friends! :). It's Memorial Day weekend and I can't help but feel blessed.

First up on my list of favorites...this!!! I saved it early this week and thought it's a perfect analogy, right?? :). 

My Old Navy order came in this week and it's screaming summer!

I threw this tank on Tuesday night after work....thanking the good Lord it was finally warm enough to wear! For some reason I can't find the tank on Old Navy's site so I have no link. 

On Wednesday I shared what's up in our life and Today's Country Radio Pandora is on repeat....there's just something about country music and summer that I love :).

Wednesday was my birthday and I was blessed to have it off. I ran an errand for my mom and did some shopping...it was perfect!

I met Dan & Ash for lunch at The Mill Street Grille. It was delicious!

And then this happened! Don't worry I shared :). 

My birthday was perfect! So simple but my favorite!

To say I am thankful for this woman is an understatement. She gets me :). 

I mean this was my gift from her! She's my favorite & so was my present. Everything for our home....see she gets me!

I headed home lunch, made a cup of coffee, and relaxed on our patio furniture. 

We went to Bravos for dinner and when it's your birthday this happens......

I made it worse by hitting his hand away which caused the whipped cream to splatter ALL OVER ME!!!

Not joking it was everywhere!! I was flustered and embarrassed so I stormed off to the bathroom.

It's funny now but not at the time lol!

Basically my birthday was my favorite(except the whipped cream.)

I hope you have a blessed holiday weekend and let us all remember why we are able to take a day from work :).
