Today I am joining Andrea and Erika for their monthly link-up where they talk about different girly things :).
It's all about hair & makeup today!
I thought I was really prepared for this post because I took pictures of my makeup but then I remembered all of the hair products I use and then felt ill-prepared.
I'll start with hair...
I was introduced to this back in January and I use it everyday. I put it in when my hair is wet and I've just brushed it. I massage in into the scalp of my hair and it helps to give my hair some volume.
#flathairprobs
I recently went in for highlights (I love them) and came home with some styling foam. My hair dresser, Angie, put this in my hair before blow drying it and I was sold! I love how my hair dries when I put it in!
My blow dryer is really old....like 6 years old. I honestly can't believe it's still kickin'.
I couldn't find the same one but if this ever goes out I would buy one similar to this.
Most days I wear my hair straight because it's less work but when I decide to curl/put some wave in my hair this is what I use and it's the best!!! My hair usually doesn't hold curl well but along with the products above and this wand it curls great :).
I know what the price is when you click the link and that is not what I paid for it. I follow a few "celebs" on Instagram and they have coupon codes here and there.
I was looking for a picture of just my hair and came up empty....
...but last week one of my besties had her bridal shower and it was the best I could do :).
(I'll post about this later.)
Now on to makeup :).
These are mostly out of order but you get the picture :)
My sister recently started selling Younique and I love their eyeshadow!
I am pretty simple with my Ready Foundation, I apply the Original Foundation over the Ready, and then some cheap blush that I've had forever :)
It's from Walmart!
I use this brush for my foundation, one similar to this for my blush, and a random brush for my eyeshadow.
Two things I am sold on. The Well-Rested eye primer and the Correcting Concealer.
They are GAME CHANGERS. Not kidding.
And then I use Mary Kay mascara (my mom sells it.)
And cheap Revlon eye liner it is.
UPDATE:
I also use the Mary Kay eye makeup remover and it takes my eye makeup right off!! I use those cotton rounds in the left picture but you could also use a cotton ball :).
Some cheap Cetaphil works wonder to clean my face :).
And I use this moisturizer after I wash my face....my face is really dry and this works like a charm!
I am trying for a collage later but we'll see if that happens :)
I am excited to read all of the blogs linking up to see some tips I need to try :)
Have a great Monday!!
Thanks so much for linking up!! :)
