Valentine's Day crafts

The older Graham gets the more crafts and new things we are able to do. All of these were a trial run and the mouse was a bit too old for him. I cut everything out and let him "glue" the ears on and he loved it. I watched my nephew last week and while it probably wasn't the best time to do a craft we made the best of it and it was so sweet watching Graham. He was so proud of his mouse!

Supplies needed:

empty toilet paper rolls
craft paper or construction paper
heart stickers
glue sticks
heart shaped cutter...I will link the one we have below
stick on eyes

Sticking his ears together

Finished product!
I put the eyes on first before I had him start. For the whiskers I cut out thin strips of white construction paper and held them together with a heart sticker. The base of the ears was scrapbook paper cut with our heart shaped cutter and then heart stickers were the top layer. We then glued the "ears" on.

I made a few more to add to the collection.

They go great with our Valentine decor.....such a cute & inexpensive craft.
Feel free to show me yours if you do them!

Next up heart pom pom......we trialed this on a piece of construction paper first. I then wanted to have Graham do it on a canvas to hang every year.

Supplies needed:

3 pom poms (I've seen cotton balls used too)
3 clothespins
construction paper or canvas
3 colors of paint (I bought mine at Hobby Lobby)
cut out of a heart

Quinn stayed the night with my mom Sunday night so it was the perfect time to do this with Graham. I went ahead and got all the supplies ready and let him go......I tried taping the heart down but it didn't stick so I held it while he painted.

Another cute craft idea.

We then learned how to cut with scissors....he thought he was big stuff!

I am excited to pull out the pom pom heart every year!

I will link below some of the items we used in case you need to add to or start your own craft supply. Thank you for reading & supporting my blog!

Valentine's Day Books

We love reading books around here. Throw that together with my love for all things themed & holidays and you have several books. I thought I would share our Valentine books today just in case anyone reading the blog loves books for their kids too! I've linked the books below and make a small commission if you purchase through my links! Thank you for supporting Forever Callahan....I love cultivating this little space for my family & the readers.

I love you everyday....my kids love the little finger puppet and it's fun to tease them!
We have several puppet books....Quinn's favorite is baby shark!

Happy Valentine's Day, Mouse is your typical mouse book spun off if you give a mouse a cookie.

Love Monster is the one Graham has me read first every time....it's a super cute book about how monster finds love when he least expects it!

Any Mickey book is a favorite around here.

We love Llama Llama books so this one explains itself.

This one is my favorite....YOU! So cute and love that it talks about just being you.

Snow day reading books....the best kind!

Love day ready

We had a weekend spent at the gym watching the high school girls win basketball Sectional. We know what we are doing next weekend now too! They are a fun team to watch. We have been getting ready for Valentine's day around here with a few decorations around the house. I am a sucker for holiday matching shirts as long as my kids will let me dress them. We made a fun snack mix, a dessert charcuterie board (more on that this week), and planned out our Valentine breakfast for Sunday.

A few Valentine touches around the house (with Blippi on in the background lol.)

Matching dino shirts.

My three Valentine's!

Simple for the front door.

Mini marshmallow, M&M's, & Goldfish graham crackers make for the perfect pink, red, & white treat!

January Snow 2021

We had snow one Saturday in January and we were there for it! I am forever pulling Noah in for my crazy pictures but he rolls with it and I am thankful for that. I will miss these days.
We bundled up and headed out.
The progression of these next few pictures make me smile.

Theo was ready in every single one lol!

The older two had fun rolling & throwing snowballs.

My sidekick.

Dad even made them their very own Olaf!

Somewhere on Sycamore you will find these three! My dad & his siblings grew up on this street....I love that sharing that.

My dad, brother, sister, & Walker stopped by for a bit.
