August 2016 Part #2

Well since it's the last day of September maybe I should get August caught up!

Using my lunchtime to get some work done along with some coffee :).

Dinner with these ladies!

Followed by ice cream :).

Fall cardigans are my go-to.

Of course some Downton Abbey watching!

Molly and I worked out on lunch a few days and we documented it!

Amazon Prime is amazing!!!

And then.....the most exciting news of our August!!!
My sister got engaged :).

It isn't my story to tell but Ethan (they've dated for 5 years) included family and friends!
They bought land near his parents house and that's where he chose to propose.
We got to drive up on them right after he did it :).

Her ring is gorgeous!

She was elated!!

And so was I!

Mom & her two daughters :).

Mom, Morgan, & her future mother-in-law!

We love Ethan and are so excited that he's "officially" part of the family!

Ethan's family loves Morgan just as much!

Just because :).

The land they bought has a ton of acres and a pond as well.

If you look really closely at the picture on the right Ethan is being silly lol.

The happy couple!

Present day....

We headed to a bridal shower for our cousin-to-be...she's marrying one of our cousins!
(P.S. This was the weekend where the food poisoning started....we didn't know it was that until two weeks later.)

Isn't it though?

Since it was August the pumpkin references started :).
My auntie was first!

Then one of my cousin's :).

LJ and I spent the afternoon together :).

Where did we go?? Shopping!!!

The girls at work all had breakfast together.

Elin loves her Hootie!

Coffee & lipstick....umm yes.

Sissy (kidney mom) brought me some pumpkin spice cheerios!!! They were so good!

A selfie, scarf, & coffee..

Who knows what day this was and I apologize for the mess in the kitchen but I killed two birds with one stone :).

Oh guess what I made?

Pumpkin bread.

Coffee & pumpkin bread for breakfast? Sure why not!

And to finish August, our town's coffee shop came out with their pumpkin spice lattes!
You can check out their page here :).

There's August!

August 2016 Part #1

I can't believe I took this long to blog again!!! Why oh why did I stop?? I guess I just fell in a funk between tennis starting, my hip recovery, & all three of us (somehow) contracting food poisoning!!!

Before I say anything else I have to recognize the first day of fall!! It's finally here.....I've been wishing for it awhile now and I'm oh so happy!

But since I have so much to catch up on let's get started :).

August 5th I hosted a Stella & Dot party at our home and it was a huge hit! So were these cookies.

P.S. You can shop my website here: http://www.stelladot.com/sites/blakemcallahan

Once all the ladies left my hubby came home and took me to dinner :).

Now the rest of this post may be confusing but I just want to remember back on this time in our lives.

Another coffee pic??? Yes :).

Showing off my tee :).
And the new Stella & Dot fall collection!

Dress here: They no longer have this color but they do have 12 other colors!

We celebrated Joe turning 9!!

These three :).

Opening our card.

And Noah thought Joe would love the pink bag.

But inside we put a boy bag with candy galore!

I'm so thankful he loves my family as his own!

The birthday boy and I!

Sam needed a turn with the hat!

We loved being able to celebrate this sweet boy!

Some of my fall collection items came in and I thought they would be perfect paired with this tank!

First day of school!!! 5th and 3rd grade?!?!?

Mexican is a weekly thing around here.

We love us some chips & cheese...can you tell??

The second week in August we had a work conference and only four of us were able to go this time.

We arrived late Friday night and ate here....yum!

These two, Molly, & I made the trip.

Yum! The pizza!

We headed back to the hotel where we hit the sack for the night. If you follow me on Instagram you know what happened next.....

One of our co-workers loves bacon so this was perfect.

I copied this from my IG post:

My first Integrity conference and we are having a blast and learning so much! For those of you who know I wear one-a-day contacts (I'm allergic to contact solution) so last night I took them out and then realized I didn't have my glasses or contacts for today. I put my contacts in my mouth to see if I could put them back in (because I can't use contact solution) and I swallowed one of them.

And drinking my coffee going in blind :).

Our speakers were Mary Lou Retton & Matt Stutzman. We loved both speakers and Molly & I loved our first conference!

We came home Saturday afternoon and Sunday was back to normal.

The youth group had their back to school bash where my future brother-in-law and his band played :).

Matchy-matchy

Us too!

There's Ethan! The little red head in the bottom of the picture is his younger sister :).

Whew! First part of August is done!!! I can't wait to share with you all about our trip from last week.

I've missed this :).
