Slumber Party

Ever since we moved in Joe has been wanting to stay the night and we promised him that. Last week we got a letter in the mail from him and I wish I would've taken a picture of it but it was Joe asking when he could stay the night! Well Noah was off a couple of days this week due to basketball camp and it was the perfect time!

 

Sam, Joe, Jaelyn, and Drew all came and they/we had a blast! We played outside, took lots of pictures, ate pizza, and watched movies! I still had to work Tuesday at normal time so I headed to bed earlier than the rest of them! Noah was on duty Tuesday with dropping them off to sports and such!

So thankful I have a husband that loves them as much as I do!

Show & Tell Tuesday: Outdoor Spaces

So we've only been in our house a little over a month and have decided to wait until next spring to do anything with our landscaping in front of our house. We did purchase a patio set and it came in handy the other night when family was over!

 

I love our home and the location of it, a dead end street will be nice once we have children and it is 4 houses down from where my dad and his siblings grew up :)

 

So there you have our outdoor space! We have a really hard to get along with neighbor (just kidding Kent). 

 

 

Summertime- Weekend Wrap-Up

 

I think I say this every weekend but this one was one of my favorites!

Friday night I finished up VBS while Noah cleaned up the house a bit and once I was home Ash texted and said the boys were swimming and to come visit. So we did!

 

 

No swimming for the big kids but soaking up this boy was worth going out there!

 

I don't know why this pic is sideways but my girlfriend Kylie asked if I wanted to go with her to Odon Locker and so I tagged along. And the trip isn't complete without donuts!!

 

 

Fast forward to Saturday night (Noah was gone all day for a basketball tourney and I got some sun) I went to Evansville with my parents and brother.

 

Culver's for dinner because, yum!

 

 

Next stop, Hobby Lobby, and my brother volunteered to go in!

 

And we came out with fall decor, to say I was excited is an understatement! (I squealed when I saw the fall decor)

 

Sunday was filled with church and lots of family time!

 

 

Seriously??? My heart :)

 

We swam with the kids at Dan & Ash's....

 

...and then everyone came to our house for dinner!!

Friday Favorites

 

It's Friday again...you know what that means!! It's time for Friday Favorites!

This week has been crazy busy but we made time to hit up the last of Joe's final game Wednesday night! His team lost but that #9 is a FAVORITE in our hearts and we are so proud of him! We cannot wait to see him move up a league next year and play live pitching!

I am currently reading this book very slowly.

This book is so good but it has taken me awhile to get through it (that may be because it's gorgeous outside and we've had VBS this week.)

 

 

 

I love love love Liane Moriarty and I bought Three Wishes yesterday and cannot wait to start it!

 

And this one is on it's way to me also. I saw Jennie Allen speak at a women's conference in 2014 and I loved her energy and love for God. I am anxious to get started on this during my quiet time!

Playing Catch-Up

So I've had multiple people ask me why I haven't blogged...well we really have had a low key couple of weeks. Things were rough with my job a week or so ago and I was down about that. But I have choosen to be postive about it.  God has given me an amazing family, husband, and girlfriends! He has blessed me tremendously and deciding that my job does not define me has helped turn things around. So here I am, finally, playing catch-up on our life :)

 

 

A couple of weeks ago Brittany & Kylie came over to workout and it's not a workout without a selfie, right??

 

 

 

We finally have something on our wall!!!

 

 

 

 

 

I had a wreath made for our front door and I am so excited about it!!!

 

 

 

Last week we went to Jasper (Noah had to get fitted for a wedding he's in in July) and we headed to Carson's with gift cards from our wedding! We picked up this guy for our holiday decor!

 

 

 

 

When we got home my earrings came in the mail and I put them on right away! Nickel & Suede has these awesome leather earrings that are so light and I've worn them 3 or 4 times already!

 

 

 

 

 

 

I am also super excited about my 4th of July decor :) My handwriting needs some work but you get the picture!

 

 

We bought a crockpot with a timer and I think it is my favorite kitchen appliance (next to my Keurig) and have been using it at least twice a week. This night I made crockpot chicken tacos and they were so yummy!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Thursday night my brother wanted ice cream and where else do we go in the summer?? Bo mac's!!! Adventures with these 2 men are never dull and there is always laughter!

 

 

Friday evening my girlfriends came over for dinner (Noah had a basketball tourney) and I put them to work! But not before I fed them :)

Love these girlies and I am so thankful for their help that night! We started pricing yard sale items and there were my life saver!

 

 

 

Then this diva arrived :) Just kidding Abby I love you!

Saturday evening we had our meeting for vacation in 4 weeks!!! These 2 arrived fashionably late due to basketball and I snapped a pic of them eating and discussing :)

 

 

Sunday after church was pool day!!!!

 

And this week is crazy busy with VBS and me working a couple extra shifts but we are loving life!

 

My MIL, another fellow church mother, and I all have kindergarten (going into 1st) and we love seeing them having fun and getting to know Jesus better!

 

 

 

And the past two nights when I get home Noah is ready with popcorn and the TV :)
