June Goals

Well it's Thursday and this week has flown by (thanks to Monday)!

I am sharing my monthly goals for June today!

I didn't have goals for May since we had just gotten home from the honeymoon and things were hectic. But one goal that I tried make happen was moving into our home and I gave it to God before we left on our trip and was humbled by His presence there. We are in and I thank God for being there every step of the way!

I can't believe it's almost June!!!! Noah is gone every weekend out of June so we will be soaking up the weeknights together! One of my besties celebrates her birthday, my baby girl cousin will be 12 (how is that possible???), and we will be enjoying the weather!

My June goals will be a task!
1. Hang pictures.  We received many frames and wall decor so I am ready to get those on our walls and make this home really ours!

2. Go see the cubs play!  Noah and I get to go see his favorite team play! That was my gift to him on our wedding day :) Ash, Dan, and the boys are going too (since the Cubs play the Cardinals) and we are so excited!

3. Prepare for yard sale.  Am I crazy??? Probably but I have gone through my closet twice in the past 6 months and have a ton to sell. My sister and Noah are also putting items in there! Whatever we don't sell will be donated!

4. Run 3 times/week.  Last summer a few family members and I started training for a mini marathon and I ran 8 miles and then stopped cold turkey.  What was wrong with me??? Well I have ran couple of times in the past month but I really want to start feeling comfortable running 3 times per week! Think I can do it?? It is all mental for me!

I am also super excited about dinner last night:

White Chicken Chili!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Our Memorial Day weekend was very busy and I feel blessed that we are able to have a day of remembrance for fallen soldiers.

Friday evening Noah and his dad put our grill together...that thing had so many pieces!! But we are ready for some grub on that grill now!

I made my first bundt cake thanks to Shay! It was so yummy and I can't wait to try some others!

I am horrible! I don't have any pictures from Saturday...we headed to Bedford for Noah's softball tourney, then to the furniture store (where we found what we liked but haven't purchased it yet), and then I headed home and Noah finished playing. They didn't win but it was their first weekend playing with most of the players so they were a little rocky and will do better at the next tourney! We had a grad party that night and then we went to bed early!

Sunday was low key but busy again. Asher has gotten so big! It has only been 5 days since I had seen him but he has changed so much! We headed to my aunt Susan's after church for some sun and the men watched the race!

Sunday night we headed to French Lick with my mom and dad. We ate dinner at Hagen's and then headed into town where they had a band playing.  The PGA golf tour was held in French Lick this year so they had a ton of activities this weekend!

Aren't they cute?

Monday was my birthday and I got to sleep in! Woo hoo!!! And then Allison texted and asked if I wanted to go eat lunch and who can pass that up?

Oh my goodness I love her babies! Exhibit of Anniston during lunch :)

And Lane :) He was so well behaved :)

Allison dropped me off, I took a nap (thanks Noah), Noah cleaned, we headed to the grocery store, and then my parents cooked out for my birthday! Yummy food and mom even made me a pumpkin cake!! Yes I am obsessed!!! This week is another busy one with purchasing furniture and getting out Internet hooked up, hallelujah!!! Have a blessed week!

Happy Memorial Day & Favorite Things Party

Happy Memorial Day!

Today is another Favorite Things Party!!

I use shampoo and conditioner (don't worry) but I am blogging from my phone. Still no Internet :(
So I am having trouble uploading the picture of my shampoo & conditioner.

Woo hoo I got it to upload!! Now you can see what I use!

This is my favorite hair product!!! (Seriously!)
I have 2 large cans and one is always at home and the other is always with me because I hairspray my hair about 3-4 times a day because it is so fine!

But that is pretty much it for me. If I wash my hair in the mornings I leave it wet and it's almost dry by the time I get to work. My hair is thick but super fine and straight so I don't do much with my hair!

Hope everyone had a great weekend and can't wait to read all of the hair ideas and to try some!

Friday Favorites

Woo hoo!!! It's Friday again and that means it's time for Friday Favorites!
Join Andrea, Erika,Narci for their link up!

A FAVORITE was celebrating my sister's birthday Tuesday night! She turned 20...how is that possible??? Her and E had to rush off because they were going to the movies but we enjoyed the time we got to celebrate her :)

This may be a FAVORITE on Noah's list from this week but in the process of the move he found his Gameboy! Oh dear and then he started playing tetris on it!!!

Another FAVORITE was that this shirt came in and I love it!!! It is so comfy and lightweight...they don't have this color in stock anymore but I found this one and it is super cute too! Nordstrom is having their Half-Yearly Sale and here is all women's clothing under $25!!

Last night Noah took me out for my birthday! It's on Memorial Day this year and we didn't know our plans for that day and he has softball all weekend so last night worked for us! It was my FAVORITE because it was our first date as a married couple...it only took us 5 weeks to make that happen!

But my FAVORITE about the night was ice cream from this place!! He knows the way to my heart :)

And last but not least (because it takes up most of our summer) softball my FAVORITE season is upon us!!! Noah plays in a tournament this weekend and most weekends until August so if you need us this is where we will be! And yes he wears a face mask while pitching (maybe he will let me blog about his teeth incident sometime).

Last summer his team won the Catfish tournament and it was one of my FAVORITES! Seeing these men excited and happy is so fun and I hope we get to watch them win again this year!

Have a great and blessed weekend! See you Monday for our Favorite Things party with Andrea & Erika!

Carpool Book Club & May Book Review

Today I am linking up with Narci for Carpool Book Club! I love reading and I am ecstatic that she started this linkup! I can't wait to see what other ladies read and get ideas for my next read!

Truth!

In this case coffee :)

I read and finished this book while on the honeymoon and it was so fun! Being that we've been married a little over a month now, it was nice to have insight on someone's marriage and know that everything is not always perfect and as long as God is the center of our marriage He will bless us! Such a good and fast read and I highly recommend it!

I started The Best Yes the last day we were in Saint Lucia and had it gone by the day we were home. It was a great airplane read and I made notes by the words that really spoke to me. Lysa does a great job at helping busy women decide when to say yes and when to say no. I pray that I listen to God when he wants me to give my "Best Yes!"

Hot Chocolate in June was so humbling! Holly gave up her American coffee (talk about hard) and moved to Africa to live out God's will for her life! Now that is someone listening to God :) She does an amazing job at telling her story!

Oh my goodness! This was my FAVORITE book this month!!! I don't want to spoil anything about the book but you have to read it!

So there you have it! The books I've read so far and I am itching to read more!

Show & Tell Tuesday: Momfessionals Moment

Today is Show & Tell Tuesday again and we are talking about Momfessional Moments. Now first of all I am not a mom (yet)!! But I have babysat a ton in my lifetime and I have one particular moment where you could say I was overwhelmed.

These two babies are now almost 2 years old and I just had the privilege of watching them this past Saturday.  But when they were around 2-3 months old I watched them a couple Saturdays out of the month and looking back it wasn't so bad but at the time I was overwhelmed!  The particular Saturday I remember I was watching them by myself and they were both awake and hungry at the same time.  Typical me, being inexperienced with twins, didn't know how to handle it.  I got them their bottle all the while they were screaming and neither one of them wanted their bottle! I checked their diapers, clean. I thought maybe they were tired but I wasn't sure how to hold and get both of them in my arms in the recliner. So what did I do??? I sat there and cried with them! Yeah not one of my proudest moments!!
I know there will be times this happens with my own children and I will get through it but it felt like that day I never would! Now babies' momma, Allison, if you are reading this know that I love your babies and they are great!! I love every moment I get to spend with these two :) .
.

Join Andrea today for your Momfessionals Moments!

And also a Happy 20th Birthday to my sister!!!

Love you :)

Weekend Wrap-Up: We moved in Edition!

Thursday night we got to move into our house! I have no pictures from that night because we had so may people helping us clean and get everything things organized. We got to stay Thursday night and we had a great first night!  Thank you to everyone who helped!! We could not have done it without you!!!

Friday after work we had little things to get situated and then we headed to the ball field to watch Sam & Drew play each other! I didn't do well with taking pics...sorry Drew :(

After the boys were done playing we headed over to the girls field where Jaelyn was playing! Woo hoo we finally got to see her play and we got to see her bat once and she made a sacrifice bunt (so proud) and got a girl in at home!!! Then the dreaded lightning :( Remembering back from high school I knew that we had to wait 20 minutes to play and if it did it again we had to wait another 20 minutes. The weather did not look promising so we had plans to go to Walmart (the dreaded first trip) if it rained. Well it was 9 pm and we didn't know when else we were going to go so we went. Call us crazy! We got home at midnight and this was our list!!!

I texted the list to Britt and said that she would be proud...I was headed to Walmart at 9 at night!

Saturday morning we slept in until 8 and then dad was there to fix our toilet (yea no toilet from Thursday night until Saturday morning). Good thing his and my parents live close!

Diva!

We got to watch these scrumptious kiddos on Saturday!!! I haven't gotten to watch them in forever and I was jumping at the chance to have them again!

They were so funny! I had my scarves half of my scarves in the living room and they had so much fun with them lol!

Lane had 4 scarves on at once and kept bringing more!

She's adorable!

So is he :)

They helped take some things downstairs :)

They napped for 40 minutes which allowed me to get some things cleaned up and write another grocery list :)

Saturday night Noah had a Bachelor party and I headed to dinner with my girlfriends! We ate at Bobe's (we missed you Leah) and then got ice cream at Scoops :)

She will love me for this :) Love you Britt :)

We went back to our house where Leah met up with us and we knew Kylie was asking us to be her bridesmaids but we didn't know how!

This was a tease!

But we finally opened them and she wrote us each a personalized card (loved it Kylie) and then she got us these cute hangers!!!

Kylie I cannot wait to be a part of your big day!!!

Best friends match without planning it :)

We have no TV or Internet yet so Noah set up his play station for us to watch a movie! Love every time we get together...there is so much laughter!

Sunday was graduation Sunday at church so we helped with the meal and then cleaned up, I had nursery during the first service, and then we headed to our contemporary service where the praise band was led by our seniors! They are all amazing and we will miss them dearly when they leave for college!

I needed this at 430 :) Noah and I napped after church and then worked hard core on the house! We accomplished so much and it feels good to have all that done! We still have quite a bit to do but the major things are done and we can enjoy our home!

My aunt Brenda had these flowers made for all of our family when grandpa passed and she had them made again when grandma passed. They are on a shelf in our spare bedroom and I couldn't think of a better place then for them to be together :)

So we have no couch but we will hopefully get one this weekend!

Noah was amazing yesterday and I am going to brag on him! He did so much and I am so thankful that we get to make this house our home together!

My beloved Keurig!!!

Just a few pics of the kitchen and living room :) The kitchen is one of my favorite rooms in our house (we have so much cabinet space!!)

We had a busy weekend and a busy week ahead but we are so thankful to be in our home!!
