1. What we're eating this week: food in St. Lucia!!! I'll blog in detail next week about our trip but this is what we've been eating.

2. What I'm reminiscing about: my grandparents....we got married two days after my grandpa's birthday and on my grandma's birthday and I am so thankful that we will always share that day with my grandma.  Miss them so much!

4. What we've been up to: we are in St. Lucia and our time is almost up but we are enjoying our last full day here!

5. What I'm dreading: work...back to the real world Monday for us.

6. What I'm working on: maintaining a healthy body image, it is so hard in this world when everything tells you to fix this or that but God made us perfectly in his eyes and I need to work on remembering that!  That being said I am trying to work on the fact that God also wants us to take care of our bodies and exercising daily is one of those. I am working on doing some sort of activity daily.

7. What I'm excited about: starting our life together in our home!

8. What I'm watching/reading: I am not watching anything right now, I hope once we settle into our home the hubby and I will start a TV series.  I have read and read and read on this trip and here are 2 books I finished.

9. What I'm listening to: not a whole lot now but when I am at work I play Pandora today's christian hits :)

10. What I'm wearing: bathing suits :)

11. What I'm doing this weekend: watching the lady in the middle graduate from college!! Are we really this old???

12. What I'm looking forward to next month: my birthday!! Even though it isn't a special number I am still looking forward to it!

13. What else is new: not a whole lot except for the fact that I am a married woman now!

14. What are you getting your mom for Mother's Day this year?
I have no idea right now...I am at a total loss (sorry Mom) but I will think of something :)

Book Review April 2015

I've been MIA for a while because we couldn't get my computer to load but I am finally posting!! Since it's the end of April I am letting you know how I did with my goals! I love setting a few goals at the beginning of the month and seeing what I have worked on.

My April goals are above and how I did on each goal are below:

1. Get Married! That we did :) And we are on our honeymoon and loving it!

2. Read 3 books. See below :)

This is me almost every night!

Gone Girl was so good and thrilling! It has been awhile since I read it and I've read 3 books since then but I was so engrossed in this book! Noah and I watched the movie a couple of weeks ago and all Noah said was creepy lol!

So I have never read anything by this author until Shay blogged about her.  So I bought this book thinking I would read it on the honeymoon and I picked it up one day and couldn't put it down! I loved her books so much that I bought and read 2 more!  The Hypnotist's Love Story was obviously about a love story but it had a fun twist on it!!

After liking the first book so much I bought this one and loved it even more! Every book I read by Liane Moriarty is better than the first!  The Husband's Secret was a book with 3-4 different families that all had a secret and then Liane tied it all together...loved it!

I just finished What Alice Forgot and I must say it was eye opening.  Alice fell and hit her head and lost the past 10 years of her life.  She spends the next couple of weeks trying to remember and figure out what went wrong with her life.  Such a quick read!

I recently signed up for a Goodreads account and you can find me here
It's a website where you can upload what books you have read, currently reading, and what you want to read.  You can also become friends with people and see what they are reading too!

3. Move into our home. Sigh, I'll just let you know when we are in!! Instead of hoping for it, we have a place to stay in the mean time and God will provide.

4. Spend more time with Jesus. This is an everyday struggle but God always forgives and loves us anyway.  I read my Jesus Calling everyday and sometimes that's all I do but when I hear things happening I stop right there and pray for the person or situation.

So there is how my April goals went, I don't have my May goals made out yet because we aren't home so I may be late on them.

And we're off...

And we're off...
See you later!

Things to pack

So since we leave tomorrow I thought talking about things to pack would be smart :)
When we were planning our honeymoon we knew we wanted a beach (with unlimited food & drinks) but we didn't know where to go.  Noah's sister and her husband went to St. Lucia for their honeymoon and loved it!!  We also knew 2 more couples who had been there on vacation so we decided to book it!! We went through a travel agency and that made the process painless!

This is where we will be staying and I am counting down the hours at work today until we leave!!

Some things I like to pack for a beach vacation :)
Noah and I are each taking our own suitcase (because I pack way to much).
Since we don't have children I go overboard on what I pack for myself and I'm sure that will change once I am packing for more than just myself!

1. Books
On a beach vacation, especially an island where there's nothing to do, books are a necessity.   I know that a lot of our day will be spent lounging in chairs and I will always have a book in hand :)

2. Waterproof carrier
My mom and sister went to Cancun in February and they said this was what everyone was carrying around.  I am taking it along just in case.  I can throw things like money, phone, and camera in there without worrying about them getting wet!

3. Sunscreen
This one is a biggie...I don't burn like Noah does but in that warmer sun I may.  Noah is light complected and I will have to stay on top of the sunscreen if he's not going to get burnt.

4. Shoes
As you can see all of my shoes are a neutral color.  Since I have no clue what I will be wearing what day neutral is a safe bet!

5. Jean shorts
It's going to be hot!! So these are a must!

6. Scarves
You gotta have a little fashion while you're gone, right?  And what better way to spruce up an outfit than with a scarf!

7. Swimsuits & Coverups
This is what we will be living in so more than 1 is being taken along :)

8. Jewelry
I don't have my jewelry packed but this what it will be carried in.  I love these little baggies for small earrings and they won't get lost!  Accessories are my best friend and they go everywhere with me!

9. Top/Tank Tops
I packed a few tops to go with my shorts and threw some tanks in there too!  I packed 2 dresses and 2 maxi skirts for our dinners.  No pics but they are packed!

Noah & I are so excited to be heading out of the country.  This is our first time leaving the country so please pray for us!!

Show & Tell Tuesdays: Names

It's time for Show & Tell Tuesday again!! And this time we are talking names :) Link up with Andrea! Well we don't have children yet but don't worry I've thought about names for our future children....the one I'm sure of is Walker ____ Callahan if it's a boy! No middle name yet but Walker is my maiden name and I love it for a first name.  We are thinking Alan (my dad's middle name) or Michael (Noah's dad's name and his middle name) for a middle name but we haven't got that far!

So since I have no children to tell you about I'll tell you how my siblings and I got our names :)

Blake Martina Walker

My first name is after a character from the soap Guiding Light...I guess my mom was obsessed with that show while pregnant with me :) She said that the character was sassy and full of life, I guess it's fitting! Martina comes from my dad's grandma Marie and I absolutely love my middle name!!

Morgan Ann Walker

I asked my mom how they came up with Morgan and her response was I'm not sure where we got her name :) lol Morgan you are loved! Just kidding! Ann comes from my mom's middle name. She is on the left in this pic :)

Cole William Walker

Cole's name is from Days of Thunder and I guess the character was adventurous.  Boy did they get that right! My brother is all boy!!  His middle name is after 2 grandpas on my dad's side...the 3rd generation of William and my uncle is William (Will) too!

So there you have it! How we were all named :) Can't wait to read all of the fun names and to get ideas for our future children!

Weekend Recap: I got married!

This weekend was a crazy, busy, perfect weekend!!

Thursday started off with the girls from work making me a veil!! It didn't stay on since it was made out of a paper plate but it was sweet :)

After work we headed to the church (where my family had been all day setting up) to finish decorating.  There wasn't much left to do which was awesome!!!

We were ready to get married!!

My auntie A did an AMAZING job!!!! The guest book area where Jaelyn was.

Entrance to the sanctuary

Table in front of the guest book :)

Rehearsal dinner time!

Joe passed out program, Jaelyn attended the guest book area, Sam pulled the wagon with LJ in it, and Drew carried a sign....so we decided to get them small gifts!

The boys got candy and Cardinals hats and Jaelyn got a phone case, lotion, and candy (every 11 year old needs a phone case, right?)

I think they loved their hats :)

My bridesmaids loved their bags :)

Love these girls :)

After the rehearsal we headed to Biggins' for dinner....you know Joe had to ride in whatever car Noah was in :)

Saturday morning was busy with hair & makeup but I made sure I found time for Jesus and my Jesus Calling talked about trusting in God and he will give you peace.  I really felt that this was perfect with all that was going on and that God will give me peace and I really felt it throughout the whole day.

Again I already said this but Ash is amazing and these were waiting for us Saturday morning and she left me a little note :)

My girlfriends came to see me before :)

Since we aren't in our house yet we did not have anywhere to stay...our pastor and his wife gave us a night here for our wedding gift.  It was so nice and my kidney mom (Sissy) drove us over late Saturday night :)  Sunday was rainy so the picture is from inside the car but the owners made us breakfast and it was so yummy!! The perfect place for us to stay after we were married!

Sunday after church we ate leftovers from the wedding meal and opened gifts with our close family

Joey D loves him some Noah :)

I'm not going to recap the wedding until I have all of the pictures or maybe later this week but I couldn't pass up a few of my favorites!  Our photographer wanted this pic taken before we saw each other and I am so glad she did!

Oh my dad! Who knows what he was saying!

This family!!! Love them :)

We had to take a funny one!

Noah had told me Saturday night that Pastor Joe had prayed with him before the ceremony and then Ash uploaded pictures to Facebook last night.  I stole this pic because it shows how supportive our church family and what is important to us :)

My mini :)

What a perfect weekend and I am so thankful to be married to Noah :) We are so ready for Thursday to be here...St. Lucia here we come :)

We are so thankful for everyone who helped in any way and we apologize in advance if we don't thank you personally but know we didn't do it on purpose.  Thank you for all the texts, comments, and well wishes and we are so happy!!
