Books and Monthly goals...and a Bonus!!

This month I read 2 books and I am halfway through my third right now!

I started with this book and it was a very quick read! I had never heard of this author so I thought I would give something new a try!! And I am glad I did!! I won't spoil the book so you'll just have to read it for yourself :)

This book was really funny! I also had never read a book by this author but I will be reading more books by her!!  Basically this book is about being comfortable in your own skin...a very good and quick read!!

 

 

I am currently halfway through this book and I cannot put it down!! This book/movie is well known and I am excited to watch the movie (but only after I am done with the book)!

 

Now for how I did with my March goals!!

 

 

 

1. Read 1-2 books.  I met my first goal!! See above :)

 

2. Walk 2 times a week at lunch. Well..... about that! I completed my goal one week out of the month lol. But I did manage to go to our workout classes at work 3/4 weeks!

 

3. Get room organized. Well I started, we do not have possession of our house yet but the owners (my 2nd cousin) kindly let us put all of our gifts from the bridal shower in one of the spare bedrooms.  We are hoping to get the house before the wedding but it doesn't look promising right now and we are okay with that! We will just get busy on the house after the honeymoon :)

 

 

 

 

Now for my April goals :)

 



 

 

 

 

1. Get married!  It happens April 18th!!!!! 

 

2. Read 3 books. I am already halfway through my first book and I have 2 more already lined up!! I may need to have more on backup with our honeymoon being this month (and I love reading by the pool/ocean)!

 

3. Move into our home! Cross your fingers!! I am really hoping this happens!

 

4. Spend more time with Jesus.  I have been slacking in this department :( But God is a forgiving God and he loves me!! I have my Jesus Calling book & my Bible that I need to devote and make time for.

Favorite Things: Nails, Nails, Nails :)

 

 

 

Today I am linking up with Erika and Andrea for our Favorite Things!  And today is our favorite nail polish!!

I have quite a few favorites but recently I have stuck with just a couple of brands.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 These pics were taken a while ago but I really love the Sally Hansen Insta-Dri because it dries really fast!!

 

 

 

 

So I found this gold color since my wedding colors are gold & navy...I painted 2 coats and then put this clear coat on top and this is the longest my nail polish has actually stayed on my nails!! It took a while to get it off but the outcome was worth it!! Love how it turned out!

 

 

 

I decided to use Essie for my bridal shower this past weekend because I've heard great things about it!! I used this chinchilly color and I love it!! I painted 2 coats of color and then I used the clear coat from the previous picture and it looks really good!!!

 

 

 

But my most favorite brand right now is the Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy...I have 5 colors (only 4 are pictured...my sister had my gray color) and I love them!! They stay on well and they are easy to remove also!!

 

 

So there you have it...my favorite nail polish!! Tomorrow I am talking about the books I read in March and my April goals!!!

Friday Favorites

 

 

 

Woo hoo it's Friday again which means I am linking up with Andrea and Erika for my Friday favorites!!!

 

It's almost the end of March which means I get married soon!!!! 21 days!!!!

 

 

 

Ash sent me this pic this week and I just love it!! These boys :) It is one of my Favorites!

 

We applied for our marriage license Monday morning!! Talk about ordeal :) All we need s is our pastor's signature to make it official :)  Definitely one of my Favorites since we are one step closer to getting married! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Wednesday night we had a decorating party at Ash's house :)  Getting last minute details squared away before the shower this weekend....one of my Favorites because both of my bridesmaids were there!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Anyone who knows me knows I love accessories, right??  I love bracelets the most and these are some of my Favorite bracelets :)  The one on the left is very dear to me since Britt brought it back from Costa Rica when she went in high school...I love the different colors :)  Loving my bracelets this week!  The bracelets on the right are from Charming Charlie  and they usually have really good sales :)

Last Thursday when I went shopping with my girlfriends I bought this shirt and it is less than $15!!

I also bought this dress awhile back because I knew I needed a couple of dresses for the honeymoon, All of their dresses are 40% off right now!!

 

 

This swimsuit is not me at all! But I saw it in the store and decided to try it on and I love it!! Of course I bought it :)

 

And last but not least I love accessories and the other day they were 40% off so I grabbed a pair of earrings, they don't have them online but I am in love with them!!

 





 

 

Weekend Wrap-Up

It's Monday....but I've got my coffee in hand which makes it a little better!!

My weekend started Thursday night because I got to out with my girlfriends!!! I love girl time :)

Britt, Kylie, and I left from Jasper since 2 of us work there and it's only an hour from Evansville.

We did a little shopping and then met up with Megan and Leah after Megan was done with her internship :)  We ate Olive Garden...we were starving and it was yummy!

After the mall we headed to Megan & Leah's townhouse since Britt and Kylie had never seen it.  We had to get a group picture!

Megan loves when I catch her off guard :)  I have pictures of Leah and Brittany but I'll save those for another day!

She said can we at least take a good picture!! Bahahahahaha yes, so we did :) 

Friday I left work early because we were going with the youth group to Winter Jam!! I had been once before and was excited to go again...Noah had never been :)

Since we had such a large group, we can purchase a bulk amount and get in a hour early with better seats!

Then my favorite band was playing!!!! I was in heaven...Where I Belong is my favorite song by Building 429 and it speaks to me :)

Lead singer, it is kinda blurry but it was the best I could do!

My mom didn't plan on going but at the last minute she found out that our pastor had extra tickets and she met some of our group in BTown!!  Love that she got to go!!

It was very late...like 2 am late when we got home so the rest of the weekend was spent sleeping and watching basketball...woo hoo!!

Saturday I was house-sitting for a family and we decided to go get dinner really quick!! Applebee's it was because we had a gift card that we still hadn't used from Christmas!!

I had the Clubhouse Grille and it was good!!

Sunday afternoon after church and a celebration of life for a dear friend's father-in-law...it was naptime!! And Asher decided he wanted to nap with me :)

Okay and this is my favorite part of this weekend!!!  The family I house-sit for isn't able to be at my shower next weekend (I am house-sitting again!!!) so she gave me my gift.  She also gave me our wedding gift because she didn't want it to break lol!! But I had to take a picture because I am in love with it!!! I can add more pieces once we add on to our family...and I cannot wait to hang it in our new house!!! Thank you George, Rhonda, & Ari...We love it!!!!
